Kelapa Island Residents Appreciate Recess of Jakarta DPRD Members

Residents living on Kelapa Island, North Seribu Islands appreciated the visit of Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission D Member, Muhammad Idris during the first recess of the 2023 fiscal year in Seribu Islands.

This recess visit is very helpful for the changes that residents want

Norh Seribu Islands Sub-district Head, Ismail expressed the council member's visit was a positive thing to support the Seribu Islands' development. It discussed absorption related to infrastructure development, public services, and community welfare.

"It is part of democracy. This recess visit is very helpful for the changes that residents want," he said, Tuesday (2/21).

Kelapa Islands Urban Village Head, Muslim stated locals were very enthusiastic about conveying their aspirations in this recess activity. Residents also hope that all the problems that have been collected could get a solution from the council.

"We want the procurement of a Public Cemetery (TPU) to be realized immediately. We also convey that SWRO as a provider of clean water is not in good condition, as it still has a salty taste," he explained.

Commission D Member, Muhammad Idris uttered the residents' aspirations on Kelapa Island was an important record for him. It would certainly be discussed and followed up with other council members.

"We want this aspiration to be absorbed and continue to support residents in development on Kelapa Island," he closed.
